The Foundation for Arts Initiatives | Grant Support

Announcement | Received grant award from The Foundation for Arts Initiatives

Press to Exit Project Space is honored to announce that the program activities for 2020 will be realised with the generous support by The Foundation for Arts Initiatives. In recognition of its ongoing importance, Press To Exit has been awarded a one-time emergency grant for general operating support during this unprecedented global crisis.

The Foundation for Arts Initiatives is a private, independent foundation that has been making grants since 1999. Formerly known as the American Center Foundation, FfAI is the successor to the American Center in Paris, a cultural center that championed avant-garde work in the performing and visual arts.
Today, FfAI is directed by a small group of Trustees who are leaders of their own arts institutions in various parts of the world. FfAI’s independence is central to its work and identity. It is not connected to any government agency or official body. Over the course of the past few years, FfAI has established grant programs to support curators, arts institutions, and special projects in the visual arts.
One of FfAI’s objectives is to generate more thinking and discourse about the history of funding initiatives locally and internationally—their history, their strengths, as well as their attendant problems. In this way, FfAI aims to expand its role beyond traditional grant-making.
